Biography:
Brian McLaughlin attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and graduated with a degree in Professional Music. Specializing in Jazz, he also has a wide variety of experience and training in other genres such as classical, rock and world music. As a full time drummer and percussionist, Brian has performed with such name jazz acts as Joe Lovano, Wynton Marsalis, George Garzone, and Hal Crook. In addition, Brian is a member of the Los Angeles based Indie-Rock Band, ‘Gamble House’. He has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe and South America with a variety of groups, and has opened for David Sanbourn, John Mayer and Rogue Wave among others. Brian currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to perform regularly with various groups/artists, teaches music, and composes for film and TV. His on screen composing/performing credits include ‘Jack and Jill’, ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and ‘Night Watch’. He has also assisted with Film Music Supervising on a number of Projects including, ‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’, ‘Night Watch’, Jack and Jill’ and ‘Dead Last’.
