| Biography: |
| Alex Silverman was born in New York City and began playing the cello at the age of 6. He studied classical cello at the Los Angeles County School for the Arts and later received a scholarship to attend The Berklee College of Music, where he studied music production and engineering. Upon moving back to Los Angeles, Alex formed the band ‘Alex & Sam’ with Samantha Sidley. He has engineered for many composers including Danny Elfman and Phillip Glass, and as a performer, has opened up for BB King and John Mayer. Currently, Alex is finishing up a second ‘Alex and Sam’ album, which is to be released later in 2010. Some of his TV credits include ‘Private Practice’, ‘Tyra’, ‘The Castle’, ‘Jack and Jill and ‘What I Like About You’. |
